When did you first start CrossFitting: I joined a different crossfit gym about 4 years ago then found Caliber and fell in love!
When did you first start training at CFC: March 2016
Favorite WOD: Bodyweight WODS because that’s what I’m good at.
Least Favorite WOD: Anything involving super heavy weights, wall balls, or rowing
Tell us about your sports & fitness background: When I was very young my mom exposed me to every sport imaginable. I gravitated towards softball and ended up making the fast pitch travel team for the Bloomingdale Blast. I played travel softball from 8-16 years old. In high school I joined cheerleading and after college, I began crossfitting.
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first WOD… what was it, and how did it feel?
A friend I used to work with exposed me to crossfit. He took me to his gym to try a WOD and it was super intimidating and challenging, but I was instantly hooked ! I felt like a Badass!
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF? (before / after)
I am more lean and my body has become more toned. I am more conscious about what I eat and how much I eat. I have better endurance and am overall a more confident person.
What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected?
I have learned that when I am positively motivated I can pretty much do anything. At Caliber everyone cheers you on pushes you to keep going. I found a group of people I honestly love and feel genuinely happy around. At Caliber I am free to be totally myself without trying to “fit in”. I never thought going to a gym would make me feel that way. It gives me something to look forward to each week.
Please share with us any favorite CrossFit / CFC moments.
Paddle boarding, Midnight Murph, the CFC holiday party (even though I got completely belligerent and was hung over for about a week!!!!)
Any advice for people just getting started?
If you’re on the fence about joining… DONT BE! Join us as soon as possible because it will change your life ! The WODS are differentiated for all fitness levels and at Caliber we welcome everyone. We will all help you and push you through the WODS. Listen to your body and be conscious of what you eat. Eating healthy is also a huge component in this awesome journey.

I tried to write a book once. It’s always been a dream of mine to publish a book and make it into a movie 🙂
