When and where did you first start doing CrossFit?
I first started Crossfitting at FTX a couple years ago.
When did you start CrossFit at CFC?
I started Crossfit Caliber in March of 2016
What is you favorite workout?
I don’t have a favorite WOD, I generally like them all 🙂
What is your least favorite WOD?
My least favorite WOD is anything with rowing.
Did you play any sports when you were younger?
Growing up I played travel softball.
Tell us about your first CrossFit experience:
I was first exposed to Crossfit from a friend of mine who I worked with. We went to FTX together and I was hooked. I was very
intimidated at first but very proud of myself for stepping outside of my comfort zone and trying something new.
What has changed or improved your life since starting CrossFit?
My overall endurance has improved in addition to my confidence. Crossfit has inspired me to try new things/get involved in new things I would have never done before, such as the Spartan race and yoga! I am now motivating other people in my family to work out. I constantly am giving my dad exercises, movements and simple WODs he can try at home to keep him more fit and healthy.
Tell us about any favorite or memorable CrossFit experiences:
My favorite CF moment so far is when I finished Murph with my husband. We were so proud of ourselves!
Outside hobbies: I love hanging out with friends and family, traveling/going on vacation, trying new restaurants, cooking, music, going to concerts, and I’m sort of obsessed with cats. I have two at home, 1 Maine Coon and 1 Doll face Persian.
Advice for people who just started: Go at your own pace, listen to your body, and always try to do a movement even if you think you can’t! Focus on form instead of how heavy you are lifting. Eat clean and increase your protein intake. Cheer on the person in last place as hard as you would cheer on the person in first place. Come to outside events to meet others. Believe in yourself and HAVE FUN!!
