I need to improve on: Flexibility; mainly in my shoulders/ lats so I may better engage for getting to hand stand push-ups, OH squats and muscle ups
Have you done the Open before? If so how many times?
This is Open #1 for me.
What are you looking forward to in the Open?
Everything. Really looking forward to see what I can achieve and overcome. Would love to be able to Rx every workout but who knows what will come out every week.
What are you not looking forward to?
OH Squats, lol – these will be the death of me 🙂
Are you anticipating a “first” in the Open, like a first Pull-up, Box Jump or Muscle up? How about a PR?
Would be totally excited to get a first of anything completed but knowing I am giving it my best I will be completely satisfied.
When you get into that “dark place” in a workout how do you get through it? T
he “dark place”? don’t really have one but usually the first 1-2 rounds of an AMRAP are tough…get through those I can normally get in the groove and find my happy place.
Favorite workout music or song?
Like hard rock/metal – Deftones, Pantera, Korn are all good but Arnel’s rave music works for longer workouts because I tend to zone out and keep going.
If you were to choose either “Murph” or “Fran” for a workout of the day which would it be?
I like both, they totally capture Power, Speed and Endurance.
I like … showing up to the box, getting loosened up and ready to give the WOD a go. Love the competition, team work and friendships made as part of the Caliber team. It’s great to experience and be a part of every day.
