During the first CrossFit Games, a hopper was used to test the athletes’ general physical preparedness. Movements were written on balls and placed into a hopper. Balls were then randomly selected to create the workouts for the athletes to do. The idea was that those who had true mastery of a broad spectrum of physical abilities and work capacities would prevail on these randomly created workouts. We have our own hopper and have not used it in a while. Come in and see what you’re gonna get, then do the workout and see what you got.
