Tell us about your sports & fitness background.
I really had no fitness background prior to CFC… I used to “run” but have always until this day struggle with consistency. I always manage to find my way back to CFC.

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first WOD… what was it, and how did it feel? I took a chance on a groupon!

2 C+J 135# (I did 30#)
9 push ups
13 sit ups

I think I’d like it a lot more now than I did then! I thought I was dying! But I was hooked!

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF? (before / after):
As I said before I always struggle with consistency, but now I am very aware now of my body and the shape it is in! I never feel better than when I am consistently working out! My body has gone from a size 16-18 when I started to a size 10-12 despite lack of consistency. I know that my diet, although not by any means perfect, is way better than the crap I was eating before CFC. Zone all the way baby!

What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected?
I am definitely stronger and more confident since having introduced CF into my life. CFC has turned into family! It’s a home I’ll always come back to because I know they’ll always take me back!

Please share with us any favorite CrossFit / CFC moments.
I have so many memories at CFC! From BBQs to Christmas parties to paddle boarding and boomers games. There’s too many to mention but I cherish the times we’ve had and those to come!

Any advice for people just getting started?
This is a marathon, not a sprint, show up (consistently) put in your best effort and do that again and again! You will be better for it!

What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit?
Outside of CFC, I love spending free weekends boating and on the lake with the kiddos and Shawn! If he would let me, I would move and live on the water in a heartbeat!
